Double Sharp Experiments
© No Walls Studio 2021
A sensory dialogue on spaces (and life). Centered on humans. We curate these experiments to shape (and reshape) how we navigate, consume and define the world—all, in an effort to avoid same and push the boundaries of placemaking.

How do you build a brand in a future, doesn’t exist, still-to-come neighborhood?

No Walls Studio partnered with Kamiak to envision a brand and a story for an upcoming development in an outer-ring part of Seattle. Our goal was to stand out from the sameness and to craft a narrative that could inform design, management, and every other conceivable element of placemaking.

With no neighborhood brand or reputation to inform our work, we started by deep diving into the city’s changing culture. We went beyond the obvious outdoor adventure, counter culture music, and java-infused intellectualism to more subtle parts of the Seattle lifestyle: a meditative relationship with nature, always-on curiosity, and an intentional pace that prioritizes the present over what’s next.

From there, we dug deeper into our audience, the inherent opportunities in the site, some adjacent brands we love, and our competitive set. We found an untapped avenue, perfectly fit for our residents and their aspirations: Treble. A place that offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but with the quality, thoughtfulness and worldliness of a city home.

A breath of fresh air.

In Treble, we imagined a brand that downshifts from the density and intensity of the city. Where the competitive set emphasizes the high-octane adventure of the mountains mixed with the future-always intensity of tech culture, we focus on the softer, more comfortable and present parts of Pacific Northwest living.

We went the distance to marry space and brand. We tapped into AI to envision new amenities and experiences–softer and greener lobbies, tranquil cut-throughs and courtyards, and garden-like roof decks. And we worked with our partners at INT.D to consider the ways the Treble brand shows up in materials, furniture, lighting, and much more–styles that fit our brand promise, strategies for making retail a cohesive part of our story, and the small touches that create graceful coherence.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
